Dai-ichi Seiko Co., Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the nine months ended September 30, 2017. For the period, the company reported net sales of JPY 38,233 million compared to JPY 33,832 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 1,737 million compared to operating loss of JPY 117 million a year ago. Net loss attributable to owners of parent was JPY 973 million or JPY 58.19 per share compared to net loss attributable to owners of parent of JPY 1,260 million or JPY 75.37 per share a year ago.
For the year 2017, the company expects dividend of JPY 20 per share compared to JPY 10 per share a year ago.
For the fiscal year ending December 31, 2017, on consolidated basis, the company expects net sales of JPY 51,000 million, operating income of JPY 2,500 million, net income attributable to owners of parent of JPY 1,600 million or JPY 95.68 per share.
