(Alliance News) - Immsi Spa announced Thursday that Intermarine, a group company, has been awarded the tender announced by the Ministry of the Interior for the supply of eight multi-purpose fire-fighting naval vessels that will be allocated to the National Fire Department to cope with rescue activities at sea.

Intermarine's multipurpose firefighting vessels "are highly sophisticated naval vessels equipped with state-of-the-art technologies guaranteeing a high added value to the peculiar capabilities of firefighters engaged in activities at sea," reads the company's statement.

The units will be certified by the Italian Naval Registry to carry out both Rescue and Fire Fighting activities in off-shore navigation sea conditions.

Immsi's stock is down 0.3 percent at EUR0.50 per share.
