Informa's Board of Directors continues to evolve to ensure there is a relevant and diverse mix of knowledge and experience in the boardroom. The company is announcing the appointment of Gill Whitehead as a Non-Executive Director, bringing significant digital, data and analytics expertise to the Group. Gill currently works for Google as Senior Director of Client Solutions & Analytics, having previously worked at Channel Four and BBC Worldwide in a range of strategy leadership and technology-driven roles. She is also a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Camelot, operator of the UK National Lottery. Gill joins the Board on 1 August and will be a Member of the Audit Committee.

For the first half of 2019, the Board has recommended an interim dividend of 7.55 pence per share (first half 2018: 7.05 pence per share) representing a 7.1% increase on the interim dividend in the prior period. The interim dividend will be paid on 13 September 2019 to ordinary shareholders registered as at the close of business on 9 August 2019.
