Chief Innovation Officer Brunon Bartkiewicz will replace Malgorzata Kolakowska at the helm of ING Bank Slaski. Malgorzata Kolakowska resigned as management board chair at ING Bank Slaski SA to become global head of network for wholesale banking at parent ING Groep NV from April 1, 2016. She will be replaced by Brunon Bartkiewicz, pending the approval of his candidacy by the Polish FSA.

Bartkiewicz, who served as chairman of the bank's management board between 1995 and 2000 and between 2004 and 2010, has submitted his resignation as a member of the supervisory board pending the new assignment. Bartkiewicz will be replaced as ING Groep's chief innovation officer by Ignacio Juli¡ Vilar, effective May 1, 2016. Vilar is currently ING Bank Slaski's executive vice president for retail banking and will also serve as head of retail banking segment, a new role created to strengthen management, coordination and cooperation within ING Groep's retail banking segment.

The position has been merged with that of chief innovation officer to facilitate project implementation.
