PEMBROKE, Bermuda (AP) _ James River Group Holdings Ltd. (JRVR) on Tuesday reported a third-quarter loss of $23.9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Pembroke, Bermuda-based company said it had a loss of 64 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 72 cents per share.

The insurance holding company posted revenue of $191 million in the period.
