Japan Communications Inc. announced that the use of "Mebuku ID," the most secure, reliable, and ease-of-use ID, which utilizes FPoS technology, has commenced in City of Omura, Nagasaki Prefecture, starting March 25th. JCI has collaborated with Mebuku Ground Corporation (headquartered in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture), a public-private partnership company formed by Maebashi City, private enterprises, and universities, to promote the utilization and implementation of Mebuku ID using FPoS technology. Following Maebashi City in Gunma Prefecture and Ebetsu City in Hokkaido, the use of Mebuku ID and the data linkage infrastructure has now begun in Omura City, Nagasaki Prefecture.

In this scheme, Mebuku Ground Inc. issues the Mebuku ID, and CONNECT Corporation (headquartered in Omura City, Nagasaki Prefecture), established through public-private collaboration, operates the Omura City portal app ?Omusubi? and the digital local currency ?Yudepi,? among other initiatives for a better circular community.
