The other day, Jiangling Motors Co., Ltd. ("JMC") shipping yard located in Xiaolan industrial park of Nanchang was full of hustle and bustle, a number of carriers loaded with brand new JMC zero-kilometer vehicles drove to all parts of the country. In traditional off-season in automobile industry, JMC still kept more than 700 vehicles being shipped per day.
"JMC grasped the policy opportunities in both national emission upgrading and yellow label vehicles management, which is the major account for its big reversal in sales volume." said by Mao Chunming, vice-general manager of JMC Sales Company. China has further strengthened environmental management this year, which plays a vital role in increasing the sales volume growth of JMC light truck with features like environment protection, high-quality and high resale value. In the first half of 2014, the cumulative sales volume for JMC light truck was increased by 27.1%. And in March only JMC light truck achieved a monthly record-high sales volume of over 10,000 units.
Chance favors the prepared mind. When Chinese government declared to exert The Fourth Stage Vehicle Emission Standard of Air Pollutants (Stage Ⅳ in short) on diesel vehicles and heavy gasoline vehicles, JMC followed market requirement and took the lead in updating technology and configuration of each vehicle model. It also completed all vehicles emission standard upgrading from Stage Ⅲ to Stage Ⅳ in advance. In addition, JMC also adopted a series of targeted marketing initiatives to grab market, incurease sales volume and enhance market shares.
In term of marketing, JMC was one step ahead for its advanced layout from third-tier city to sixth-tier city. With the increasing development of urbanization and the improvement of resident's living standards, the major vehicle demand has been shifted from coastal areas to central and western regions as well as second or third-tier cities. Experts forecasted that, in 2020, the market share of third-tier city will increase to 55% in China and the share of first-tier city will decrease to 15%. According to this prediction, JMC has already expanded its distribution networks in third to sixth-tier cities. Up till the first half of this year, the number of JMC sub-distributors has been reached up to 685, which contributed 48% of sales volume growth for JMC. (From Jiangxi Daily)
