Johnson Controls announced the appointment of Mohammad Khalid as the new Vice President and General Manager for Middle East and Africa (MEA). Khalid brings more than 25 years of experience in sales, operations and technology to further advance Johnson Control as leader for smart, net zero and sustainability solutions across the MEA region, enforcing the company's continued commitment to provide world-class digital solutions through its OpenBlue platform, HVAC equipment, fire and security systems, controls and services. The new appointment proves to be both timely and strategic as it comes at a time when the company is executing on its leadership in innovation and technology assisting governments, businesses and other institutions meet their sustainability goals, while leveraging a history of over 135 years of expertise in building systems. The newly appointed VP and General Manager holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University.

Prior to joining Johnson Controls, Khalid held various management positions at some of the world's top companies like Motorola and Google, sharing his leadership and skills across these companies' key sales, technical and business activities in the US, Europe and the Middle East. Khalid joined Johnson Controls eight years ago and since then, has helped reinforce the company's vision to reimagine the performance of buildings to serve people, places and the planet by placing key focus on health and safety.
