Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated : JLL’s Minneapolis Capital Markets group adds two retail specialists

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 19, 2022 - JLL Capital Markets announced today that it has hired Senior Directors Matt Hazelton and Cory Villaume to specialize in retail investment sales and advisory transactions in Minneapolis-St. Paul and the Midwest.

With a focus on multi-tenant and net-leased retail sales, Hazelton and Villaume come to JLL from another leading commercial real estate firm. Over their careers they have been responsible for nearly $1 billion of retail property dispositions and acquisitions. Their addition to the JLL Capital Markets team in Minneapolis, which is led by Senior Managing Directors David Berglund and Colin Ryan, fills an important gap in retail services for the office.

"The Minneapolis market has seen a tremendous amount of interest from the national investment community and upward pressure on pricing," Hazelton said. Reporting to both Berglund and Ryan, Hazelton earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and received his master's in business administration from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Business, and Villaume is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.
