21st Century is now able to offer full CCTV systems that have been assessed to be fully compliant with the new UN Vehicle Regulation ECE 118 (Fire, and Safety Regulation).

The new stringent regulations regarding flammability are for the improved protection and safety of public transport passengers, to assist in the prevention of injury or fatality, should a vehicle experience a fire. The regulation is now essential to all passenger vehicles and all components to the vehicle.

Mark Johnson, 21st Century's Director of Fleet Systems, commented: 'Of course, passenger safety is a top priority at 21st Century, and with this new regulation operators can be confident that our systems are safe. Our entire CCTV design including every component, connector and peripheral device has been tested and formally approved, ensuring the safety of passengers in the unlikely event of a fire. Our choice in leading CCTV recorders like the Timespace V400 and HIKVision's range of DVR/NVRs comply with the set regulations, ensuring that the systems we install meet the standards required.'

As well as having a fully compliant product range, all 21st Century fleet engineers are FITAS accredited, ensuring that all installations are completed to the highest standard.
