Notice Concerning the Establishment of New Plants in India
and in Mexico
JSP Corporation (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President: Tomohiko Okubo) hereby announces the establishment of new plants in India and in Mexico. In both countries, the growing demand for ARPRO (expanded polypropylene foam material) is expected, especially for automotive parts applications. With the establishment of these new plants, the JSP Group will be able to produce ARPRO at 22 locations around the world. We will continue expand our business presence worldwide and work to realize our long-term vision of aiming to be "A Global Company for Global Society".
1. Regarding the establishment of Pune Plant in India
JSP had established a local subsidiary, JSP Foam India Pvt. Ltd. in 2010 and planned to construct a plant, but it was postponed because the economic growth in India at the time was still modest as we announced in 2015 in the "Notice of Postponement of Plant Construction in India" (Japanese only). Along with the expansion of the automobile market in the country, it is now expected that there will be a growing demand mainly for automotive parts, as well as for the non-automotive applications. By establishing our first production plant in Pune, India and enabling local production, the JSP Group intend to further expand our market share in the country.

2. Regarding the establishment of Ramos Arizpe Plant in Mexico
The JSP Group is currently operating a plant in Toluca, Mexico, however, the supply of ARPRO is expected to become insufficient under the current production capacity as the demand for ARPRO is expected to increase. The main reason for the expected increase in demand is that automobile manufacturers have started operations in Mexico due to soaring labor costs in the U.S. and potential risks of doing business in China. The JSP Group has decided to construct a new plant in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, which is near the U.S. border and close to where the demand for ARPRO is expected to grow. With the establishment of the Ramos Arizpe Plant, The JSP Group will continue to ensure a stable supply ARPRO in the country.
