HAMBURG (dpa-AFX) - After a strong past year, forklift truck manufacturer Jungheinrich is generally more optimistic about 2024 than analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. The MDax-listed company announced in Hamburg on Thursday that it expects sales to rise to between 5.3 and 5.9 billion euros. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) are expected to be between 420 million euros and 470 million euros. The mean values of the company's forecast are above the average expectation of the experts surveyed by Bloomberg. In 2023, turnover increased by 16% to 5.55 billion euros. Operating profit increased by eleven percent to 430 million euros. The profit was therefore higher than experts had expected. However, the Group fell short of expectations in terms of earnings before interest and taxes./zb/mis
