Innovation Works announced that it has retained national search firm Korn Ferry as it looks to hire a new CEO. The organization's current CEO, Rich Lunak, announced his retirement from IW in February 2022 after 17 years of working at the organization, though he's expected to stay with IW throughout the rest of the year until a replacement has been named and so that he can assist with the leadership transition. Rosa Morris, Korn Ferry's nonprofit practice principal, will lead the national search for Lunak's replacement alongside the support of other employees on her team.

Together, they'll craft a profile of desired traits for a replacement, finalize job specifics, build a search strategy, post the position and then begin the process of cultivating a candidate pool. Once that's completed, Korn Ferry will lead interviews alongside IW's board and staff before making their recommendation for who should take the helm.
