KRBL Limited reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended September 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was INR 10,536.9 million compared to INR 11,332 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 10,592.2 million compared to INR 11,359.4 million a year ago. Net income was INR 1,362.2 million compared to INR 1,498.1 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 5.79 compared to INR 6.36 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 5.79 compared to INR 6.36 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was INR 20,696 million compared to INR 18,972.2 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 20,901 million compared to INR 19,092 million a year ago. Net income was INR 2,769.8 million compared to INR 2,755.5 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 11.77 compared to INR 11.71 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 11.77 compared to INR 11.71 a year ago.
KRBL Limited is an India-based integrated rice company. The Company is a basmati rice producer and has fully integrated operations in basmati value chain, which include seed development, contact farming, procurement of paddy, storage, processing, packaging, branding and marketing. It owns and manufactures basmati rice brands in India and abroad. It operates through two segments: Agri and Energy. Its Agri segment comprises of agricultural commodities, such as rice, furfural, seed, bran, bran oil, and others. Its Energy segment comprises of power generation from wind turbine, husk-based power plant and solar power plant. The Company offers its rice under a range of brands, including India Gate, Nur Jahan, Telephone, Train, Unity, Lotus, Lion, Doon, Aarati, Quilada, Al Wisam, Granny's Kitchen, Necklace, Bemisal and Indian Farm, among others. Its subsidiaries include K B Exports Private Limited and KRBL DMCC and KRBL LLC. It exports its products to Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq and others.
