KRBL Limited reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended September 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was INR 12,133.9 million compared to INR 13,192.8 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 12,464.9 million compared to INR 13,398.9 million a year ago. Net income was INR 1,532.9 million compared to INR 2,131 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 6.52 compared to INR 9.05 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 6.52 compared to INR 9.05 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was INR 26,270.4 million compared to INR 25,475.1 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 26,870.4 million compared to INR 25,791.5 million a year ago. Net income was INR 3,479.4 million compared to INR 3,775.5 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 14.8 compared to INR 16.04 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 14.8 compared to INR 16.04 a year ago.
KRBL Limited is an India-based integrated rice company. The Company is a basmati rice producer and has fully integrated operations in basmati value chain, which include seed development, contact farming, procurement of paddy, storage, processing, packaging, branding and marketing. It owns and manufactures basmati rice brands in India and abroad. It operates through two segments: Agri and Energy. Its Agri segment comprises of agricultural commodities, such as rice, furfural, seed, bran, bran oil, and others. Its Energy segment comprises of power generation from wind turbine, husk-based power plant and solar power plant. The Company offers its rice under a range of brands, including India Gate, Nur Jahan, Telephone, Train, Unity, Lotus, Lion, Doon, Aarati, Quilada, Al Wisam, Granny's Kitchen, Necklace, Bemisal and Indian Farm, among others. Its subsidiaries include K B Exports Private Limited and KRBL DMCC and KRBL LLC. It exports its products to Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq and others.
