Open Joint Stock Company Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company has revised its 2012 production forecast downwards by 600,000 tonnes due to a drop in demand and falling coal prices on the global market. The coal producer had previously announced plans to boost production to 9.3 million tonnes this year. However, the company will not abandon its previously announced investment projects. As planned, the Kaskad-2 enrichment plant with a capacity of 4 million tonnes of coal a year will be commissioned at the Vinogradovsky open pit mine in the fourth quarter of 2012.
