Larsen & Toubro : L&T Heavy Engineering Flags Off Complex Tubular Reactors to China ahead of schedule

Hazira (Surat, Gujarat) - The heavy engineering arm of Larsen & Toubro, has flagged-off 4 nos. critical Propylene Oxide (PO) Reactors manufactured for the first time by L&T for thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions AG, (tkIS) Germany for a project in China. The flag-off ceremony took place at L&T's Hazira Manufacturing Complex in the virtual presence of dignitaries from tkIS Germany, tkIS India and L&T.

These reactors will play a crucial role in the propylene oxide production plant based on the Evonik-Uhde HPPO technology. The manufacturing of these Large Tubular Reactors involved duplex stainless steel tubes, weld-overlays with stringent chemistry and welding controls.
