NEW YORK (AP) _ Lemonade, Inc. (LMND) on Wednesday reported a loss of $70.3 million in its fourth quarter.

The New York-based company said it had a loss of $1.14 per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of $1.13 per share.

The company posted revenue of $41 million in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $39.4 million.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $241.3 million, or $3.94 per share. Revenue was reported as $128.4 million.

For the current quarter ending in April, Lemonade said it expects revenue in the range of $41 million to $43 million.

The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $202 million to $205 million.
