Liberty Defense Holdings Ltd. announced that the HEXWAVE?? system will undergo operational test and evaluation at Port of Oakland at the International Airport facilities. The target date for testing is March 2024.

National Safe Skies Alliance (Safe Skies), an independent third-party, non-profit organization funded by the Federal Aviation Administration, conducts thorough testing of security systems' detection capabilities, reliability, and maintainability under active airport operational and environmental conditions. Safe Skies performs its evaluations under an ISO 9001:2015-approved Quality Management System. The Port of Oakland, located in the San Francisco Bay area, oversees the Oakland International Airport, the Oakland Seaport, and nearly 20 miles of waterfront commercial holdings.

Liberty's HEXWAVE product, a next generation, walkthrough, contactless threat detection system for concealed non-metallic and metallic objects, uses AI to provide automated decisions to security operators to process people at speed. The company started shipping HEXWAVE to customers in September 2023 and the backlog of systems has grown to over 30 systems.
