LOGIC INSTRUMENT, one of the leading manufactures of rugged mobile computers for harsh environment, presents the TETRA RMCP, a rugged portable PC for PXI, PXIe and cPCI applications for difficult climatic conditions. 

TETRA RMCP is a portable and rugged system available for additional PXI, PXIe or cPCI modules. It is conceived to allow the deployment of these architectures in harsh environments such as heavy industry and the military. The TETRA RMCP offers in addition to the CPU-board, which can occupy four slots, seven additional free slots for high sensitive measurement cards. The interfaces can be realized through an additional “TOP HAT“ by industrial or military round connectors, depending on the customer’s needs. The universal 400W 

AC/DC power system also allows simultaneous input voltage on AC and DC with seamless intelligent autoswitching. The intelligent AirFlow system with temperature controlled fans and cleanable air filters provides cooling for the sensitive electronics up to 113°F (45°) while the optional integrated heater can preheat the system to minimum operating temperature in extreme cold conditions to -4°F (-20°C). 

The smartly designed portable pc with it’s all-metal housing is protected against falling rain, is absolute rigid and resists shocks and vibrations in order to protect sensitive measurement modules yet thanks to the recessed, ergonomic handles, can be carried comfortably with one hand and even with protective gloves. 

The front integrates an industial protected 15.4“ large, sunlight readable LCD monitor with LED backlight. Also integrated on the front panel is a DVD drive and two auxiliary USB ports that are protected by a door. Inside of the housing there is also a bay for a 2,5” SATA HDD or SSD drive.
