Logic Instrument SA presented upgraded K-Series tablets. The second generation of the rugged tablets is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8300 Cherry Trail processor and 4GB of RAM. The maximum CPU frequency is 1.84 GHz but the significant difference lies in the manufacturing process (14nm vs.

22nm of the previous version), which allows higher performance and lower operating temperatures at the same time. Therefore, the K-series still operates without fan. The new platform enables to run Microsoft operating systems (8.1 and 10), as well as Google's Android version 5.1 (certified).

The user is thus free to choose the most appropriate operating system suitable for his application. The recommended retail price for the standard version (incl. WiFi, BT4.0, GPS, 4G, NFC) is for the K80 is EUR 996 and for the K101 it is EUR 1,249 without Windows license.

Project and reseller prices upon request. The tablets can be found on the CeBIT show in Hanover on the booth D71 Hall 15.
