M-Venture Investment, Inc. (KOSDAQ:A019590) agreed to acquire 3.1% stake in GCT Semiconductor, Inc. for KRW 7.1 billion on January 20, 2017. After completion of the transaction M-Venture Investment, Inc. will hold 7,462,151 shares representing 9.59% interest in the issued share capital of GCT Semiconductor, Inc. As of fiscal year ended June 30, 2016, GCT Semiconductor, Inc. has total assets of KRW 81.49 billion. The transaction is expected to be completed by February 3, 2017.
M-VENTURE INVESTMENT, INC. is a Korea-based venture capital firm. The Company provides investment services, including stock subscription, acquisition of convertible bonds or bonds with warrants, as well as project financing services. It also provides consulting services, including start-up-related business consulting and information services, as well as business advice services to start-up founders; research services for the review of business feasibility; setup and operation of a business incubation center; legal advice, tax information and marketing support services to investee companies, and consulting and advice services regarding corporate mergers or acquisitions, sale of assets and divestitures services.
