Brigade Capital Management, LP and Arkhouse Management Co., LP made a non-binding offer to acquire the remaining shares of Macy's, Inc. (NYSE:M) on December 1, 2023. As of January 21, 2024, Macy's board of directors rejected the proposal for the acquisition. Jefferies LLC acted as financial advisor to Brigade Capital Management and Arkhouse Management.
Bank of America Securities and Wells Fargo & Company acted as financial advisor to Macy's. Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz LLP acted as legal advisor to Macy's. Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP acted as legal advisor to Brigade Capital Management, LP and Arkhouse Management Co., LP., Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP acted as legal advisor and Geoffrey Weinberg, Paul Schulman and Jonathan Eyl of Morrow Sodali Global LLC acted as information agent to Arkhouse Management Co., LP.
