Maeda Kosen Vietnam Co., Ltd. announced that it will receive $3,500,000 in an equity round of funding from an existing investor, Maeda Kosen Co., Ltd. on June 3, 2015. The investor will maintain its stake at 100% in the company. The transaction has been approved by the board of directors of the investor.
The transaction is expected to close by mid of June 2015. Upon closing, the amount of investment in the company will increase from $1,500,000 to $5,000,000.
MAEDA KOSEN CO., LTD. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the social infrastructure business that mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of civil engineering materials, building materials, agricultural materials and non-woven fabrics. The Company operates through three business segments. The Social Infrastructure segment is involved in the manufacture and sale of embankment reinforcements, civil engineering sheets, river revetment materials, slope disaster prevention products, drainage materials, polymer cement mortar, among others. The Industry Infrastructure segment is involved in the manufacture, process and sale of wipers for flat display panels and precision equipment, secondary products of narrow woven fabrics such as ribbons and various industrial fibers, as well as circular knitted products for apparel and various industrial materials. The Human Infrastructure segment is involved in the manufacture and sale of light alloy forged wheels for automobiles.
