NOTICE TO THE MARKET

MAGAZINE LUIZA S.A. ("Company"), pursuant to article 157, paragraph 4 of Law 6404 of December 15, 1976, as amended, Instruction 358 issued by the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission ("CVM") on January 3, 2002, as amended, and article 6.6.1 of the Regulations of the BM&FBOVESPA's Novo Mercado trading segment, through this market communication ("Notice to the Market"), hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general of the following.

Given the atypical oscillations in the price of the Company's common shares, and based on the understanding that said trades are the result of speculative movements that have no relation to the Company's economic fundamentals or the evolution of its results, the Company has decided to bring forward:

1. disclosure of its Quarterly Information (ITR) for the nine months ended September 30, 2016 ("3rd ITR") to October 31, 2016 before the market opens;

2. its conference call to discuss the 3rd ITR to October 31, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. (Brasília time); and

3. disclosure of the English version of the 3rd ITR to November 9, 2016 after the market closes.

The Company's corporate events calendar, already adjusted to reflect the above changes, is available for consultation on the websites of the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission - CVM (www.cvm.gov.br), BM&FBOVESPA S.A. - Securities, Commodities and Futures Exchange (www.bmfbovespa.com.br) and the Company itself (www.magazineluiza.com.br/ri).
