(Alliance News) - Major European stock exchanges meet forecasts and open below par on Tuesday, with the Piazza Affari doing worst of all.

Thus, the FTSE Mib opens 0.9 percent in the red at 27,292.22.

Among the smaller listings, the Mid-Cap gives up 0.4 percent to 43,460.98, the Small-Cap is in the red 0.3 percent to 29,133.01 while Italy Growth is in the green 0.1 percent to 9,288.02.

In Europe, London's FTSE 100 gives up 0.5 percent, Paris' CAC 40 is in the red by 0.7 percent and Frankfurt's DAX 40 is in the fractional red.

In Milan, on the main list of Piazza Affari, tolo Recordati and InWit are saved, in the green by 0.4 percent and 0.2 percent respectively.

At the bottom of the almost entirely red-tinged list are the banks, with UniCredit down 1.9 percent, Intesa Sanpaolo giving up 1.7 percent, and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, which is back 1.6 percent.

MPS announced that it has appointed board members.

Chairman Nicola Maione and deputy Gianluca Brancadoro join the board, in addition to Luigi Lovaglio, Paola Lucantoni, Anna Paola Negri-Clementi, Laura Martiniello, Donatella Visconti, Lucia Foti Belligambi, Domenico Lombardi, Paolo Fabris De Fabris, Renato Sala, Stefano Di Stefano, Marco Giorgino, Alessandra Giuseppina Barzaghi, and Paola De Martini.

The board then decided that Luigi Lovaglio remain CEO.

Iveco Group also hurt, down 1.8 percent.

Interpump Group, which opens in the red by 0.7 percent, announced the acquisition of a 70 percent stake in I.Mec.

The value of the deal was set at about EUR14 million.

On the mostly bearish Mid-Cap, Juventus FC, which opens down 2.8 percent, ends at the bottom. Also hurt are Alerion, in the red by 2.4 percent, and WIIT, down 2.0 percent.

Webuild gives up 0.9%. The company announced Saturday that it had purchased 237,689 of its own ordinary shares for a total value of EUR463,022.52.

Tamburi Investment Partners also retreats 0.9 percent. The company reported Monday that it purchased 70,501 of its own ordinary shares between April 17 and 21.

The shares were taken over at an average price per share of EUR8.4204, for a total value of EUR593,649.21.

Maire Tecnimont gives up 0.6 percent after rising on the eve of the day.

The company announced Friday that its subsidiary NextChem, part of the Sustainable Technology Solutions business unit, after completing the advanced engineering study for methanation for the Salamandre project in Normandy, has been awarded a new contract from Storengy to perform an additional advanced engineering study for gasification of wood waste and purification of synthesis gas system to produce biomethane.

Arnoldo Mondadori Editore - in the red by 0.2 percent - announced Thursday that it had executed a contract to sell its 18.45 percent stake in Società Europea di Edizioni, publisher of the daily Il Giornale, to PBF.

Cementir Holding--down 0.5 percent--reported that the shareholders' meeting renewed the board of directors, which will serve a three-year term, reducing the number of members to eight, including one executive director, Francesco Caltagirone, and seven nonexecutive directors.

On the Small-Cap, algoWatt does best of all and rises with 4.4 percent. The company announced Monday that it has entered into an "important framework agreement with a leading Italian credit institution," for the evolutionary and corrective maintenance of remote control solutions for technological systems and management of maintenance teams at offices throughout Italy.

Caltagirone is still not trading. The company announced Friday that the ordinary shareholders' meeting appointed the new board of statutory auditors for the three-year period 2023 - 2025.

Bioera is flat at EUR0.13 after announcing Friday evening that the board of directors approved the financial statements as of December 31, 2022 reporting a group loss of EUR4.1 million compared to a profit of EUR15.3 million in fiscal year 2021.

Revenue, on the other hand, was EUR626,000 compared to EUR19.8 million in the previous year.

Among SMEs, UCapital24 sprints to the top with 38 percent--then falling to 14 percent--after announcing Monday night that the board of directors approved its 2022 results, reporting a net loss of EUR744,000 an improvement of 43 percent from a EUR1.3 million loss in FY2021.

The board also approved a 2023-2025 Development Plan indicating total revenues between EUR5.0 and EUR6.0 million.

Farmacosmo opens up 2.7 percent after announcing on Monday that in the first quarter of the year 2023 it recorded an increase in all major indicators starting with revenues that rose to EUR18.8 million, up 6.0 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

Portale Sardegna gave up 2.0 percent after announcing Monday night that 2022 ended with a value of production of EUR8.9 million, up from EUR6.4 million in 2021.

In fact, the board of directors approved the consolidated financial statements as of December 31, 2022 reporting a worsened net loss to EUR500,000 from EUR230,000 in 2021.

Destination Italy opens flat at EUR1.29 per share. On Monday evening, it reported that it saw an improvement in all indicators in 2022, with the loss narrowing 52 percent to EUR950,000 from EUR2.0 million in 2021.

Revenues soared, rising 266% to EUR27.1 million from EUR7.4 million in 2021.

Esautomotion still does not trade. On Saturday it informed that it signed a EUR10.0 million investment agreement and a shareholders' agreement to acquire the business of Sangalli Servomotori, a company active in the electric motors market, through the purchase of the entire share capital of a newly established company.

SolidWorld Group opens in the green by 0.7 percent after announcing Monday that the first example of Electrospider, a 3D bioprinter capable of making reproductions of human cells and tissues using additive technology, will be delivered in September, with mass production announced for Feb. 16, 2023.

Take Off gives up 2.4 percent after closing up 6.3 percent. The company reported first quarter revenues at EUR8.3 million, up more than 34 percent from EUR6.2 million as of March 31, 2022.

In Asia, the Nikkei closed fractionally in the green at 28,620.07 and the Hang Seng gave up 1.7 percent to 19,609.16 while the Shanghai Composite closed down 0.3 percent at 3,264.87.

In New York on Friday, the Dow Jones closed up 0.2 percent, the S&P finished in fractional green while the Nasdaq ended in the red by 0.3 percent.

Among currencies, the euro changed hands at USD1.1032 versus USD1.1030 at Monday's close. In contrast, the pound is worth USD1.2463 from USD1.2467 on Monday evening.

Among commodities, Brent crude is worth USD82.73 per barrel USD82.04 per barrel on Monday night. Gold, on the other hand, trades at USD1,996.01 an ounce from USD1,995.25 an ounce at Monday's close.

On Tuesday's economic calendar, at 1200 CEST from the UK comes data on industrial order trends.

Overseas, at 1500 CEST, the US house price index is released while, half an hour later, it is the turn of building permits issued. At 1600 CEST, the consumer confidence report is released.

Among companies listed on the Stock Exchange, no particular announcements are expected.
