North Macedonia's fuel storage and transport company Oilko KDA said on December 21, 2023 it plans to launch a takeover bid for local fuel retailer Makpetrol A.D. Oilko KDA plans to launch an offer to buy the remaining shares it does not already own in Makpetrol for a price of MKD 67,001 ($1,191/EUR 1,088) per share, it said in a bourse filing. Oilko KDA currently holds a 28.2% stake in Makpetrol. The shareholders of Oilko KDA will vote on the plan at a meeting on January 20, 2024.

Makpetrol's shares traded at an average price of MKD 64,990 on the Macedonian Stock Exchange on December 20, 2023, latest bourse data showed. Oilko's shares have not changed hands in regular trading on the MSE in the past year.
