Saito: I would like to start today's announcement of the Medium-term Management Plan for MANI, INC.

My name is Masahiko Saito, President and Representative Executive Officer at MANI, INC.

This is the company's first time announcing a Medium-term Management Plan, in which we looked 10 years into the future and outlined our corporate policy for the next 5 years. I would like to thank you in advance for your time.

First is MANI's corporate philosophy, which is as follows:

  • Contribute to the world welfare through development, production and distribution of the products beneficial to patients and doctors."

This corporate philosophy is MANI's raison d'être, and we have outlined 6 corporate policies to carry out going forward, in order to make this corporate philosophy a reality.

The corporate policies are as follows.

Number 1: Business model innovation.

Number 2: R&D with KOLs in the world.

Number 3: Expand global market shares through community-based sales.

Number 4: A global production system offering high quality and low cost production.

Number 5: Introduce a new personnel system: abolish seniority elements and shift to a performance-based personnel system.

Number 6: Promote sustainability.

I would now like to discuss each of these 6 corporate policies.

First is business model innovation.

Allow me to discuss MANI's past and planned future evolution in terms of business model innovation, which is the basis of our corporate policy.

The diagram shows the history of the company's evolution since the time of its founding, from left to right.

I will start by discussing growth drivers, as shown on the bottom-left corner.

At the beginning, through the development of original technology unrivaled by our industry peers we completed a development platform consisting of the focused pursuit of the best quality in the world. At the time, MANI was confident that having the best quality in the world would guarantee sales.

The next step in the company's evolution was establishing production bases overseas - primarily centered around Vietnam - and completing our manufacturing platform. We were able to gain high quality and low- cost manufacturing by manufacturing in overseas.

This era in the company's history corresponds to the time the founding family ran the company.

Next, during former President Takai's leadership, MANI established sales bases overseas and created a sales platform of MANI's sales bases overseas, China has been particularly successful.

MANI has therefore evolved its business model, establishing development, manufacturing, and sales platforms - with each subsequent platform building upon what came before.
