Marubeni Corporation
Marubeni Corporation (hereinafter, "Marubeni") hereby announces that TPH Holdings, LLC (hereinafter, "TPH"), which provides B2B automotive aftermarket parts distribution services mainly in Florida, has acquired the assets of White Brothers Auto Supply, Inc. (hereinafter, "WB") on September 19, 2021.
WB has been a reliable supplier of automotive aftermarket parts for over 70 years, with a total of twelve locations: seven in Georgia, two in Alabama, two in South Carolina, and one in Florida. Three are located in Atlanta, Georgia, which is a potential market covering over 50% of Georgia's population and about two thirds of its GDP.
TPH provides its service mainly in Florida, with its strength in a wide range of assortments and instant delivery. Through acquiring WB, they aim to advance into the potential market of Atlanta, as well as to expand their locations and delivery network.
Since investing in a company called XL Parts LLC (hereinafter, "XLP"), which operates its 112 locations primarily in the Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth areas, in 2015, Marubeni has been increasing and strengthening its network by acquiring 9 more companies in the industry, including TPH in 2017, and opening new locations. As a result of acquiring WB, the number of locations of TPH and XLP has increased to 196 in total.
Marubeni aims to further expand its business scale by strengthening its network in the growing market of automotive parts sales, mainly in the southern part of United States where demand for automotive parts is expected to increase due to the growth of population and number of registered cars.
