(Alliance News) - Marzocchi Pompe Spa announced Monday that it has finalized the purchase of a second property in Zola Predosa, following the one it took over in October last year.

The property - of 3,100 square meters, of which 600 are covered - was taken over for EUR720,000 and will allow the company to move some activities that are currently located at the Casalecchio site there, "in order to increase production capacity and improve operational efficiency," the company explained.

The new facility will also house a state-of-the-art research and development hub dedicated to further technical and technological enhancement of gear pumps and motors to meet the ever-increasing needs of the market.

Gabriele Bonfiglioli, CEO of Marzocchi Pompe, commented, "The acquisition of this property, which is in a strategic location for us, is another very important step in our plan to improve operational efficiency, aimed at making us increasingly competitive, and thus consolidate our position in the market. The objective of this operation is in particular to strengthen and make more functional our design and research & development activities, which are fundamental to the technical and technological level of our product and our service to customers."

Marzocchi gives up 1.5 percent to EUR3.88 per share.
