MIDDLESEX WATER COMPANY ISSUES VOLUNTARY
CONSERVATION NOTICE TO ITS CUSTOMERS
Customers Being Asked To Limit Non-Essential Water Use
ISELIN, NJ, July 21, 2022--Middlesex Water Company is issuing a voluntary water conservation notice to reduce the high demand on the entire water system as a result of recent prolonged high temperatures and dry conditions. Voluntary conservation by customers is necessary to help sustain system-wide water pressures and prevent disruption in water service, including potential impacts to fire protection. Customers served by Middlesex Water in the municipalities of Carteret, Clark, Edison, Metuchen, South Amboy, South Plainfield and Woodbridge are requested to voluntarily limit all non-essential water use until further notice. Support of this voluntary conservation notice will help to potentially avoid more restrictive measures to reduce usage.
Customers will be notified when the voluntary conservation notice is lifted and updates will be provided through the company website at www.middlesexwater.com.
