MITON UK MICROCAP TRUST PLC (the "Company")

REDEMPTION OF ORDINARY SHARES

Further to the announcement made on 26th June, notifying shareholders of the intention to create additional distributable reserves by way of cancellation of the Company's share premium account, and the subsequent announcement on 28th June setting out the redemption price, the Company announces that it has today published a shareholder circular (the "Circular") to convene a general meeting (the "General Meeting") to be held on 23 July 2019. As previously announced the purpose of the meeting is to help facilitate the cancellation of the Company's share premium account, in order to create sufficient distributable reserves to satisfy redemption requests in full under the 2019 Redemption Facility.

The expected timetable is as follows:

Confirmation hearing	13	August
Cancellation of share premium account effective	As soon as practicable after 13

Full details of the resolutions to be voted on by shareholders of the Company at the General Meeting, to be held at 9.00 a.m. on 23 July 2019, at the offices of Stephenson Harwood LLP, 1 Finsbury Circus, London, EC2M 7SH, are contained within the Circular.
