The National Bank of Coxsackie has announced two new hires in recent weeks: George Cooper, the company's new senior vice president and chief retail banking officer, and Lynn Smith, vice president and chief credit officer. Cooper, who has over three decades of experience in retail banking, most recently served as vice president and district manager for Community Bank. Before that, he served for 14 years as director of retail banking for Kinderhook Bank.

Cooper holds a bachelor's degree in economics from St. Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont. Smith, who lives in Niskayuna, has more than 25 years of commercial banking experience.

Most recently she managed Pioneer Bank's special assets division. She also served as regional manager of business and professional banking at M&T Bank.
