The Company, through Nebraska Book Company, participates in the college bookstore by providing used textbooks to college bookstore operators, and by providing strategic business services and technology offerings, including localized e-commerce capabilities. Its segments include Textbooks, Complementary services and Corporate Administration. The Textbooks segment is engaged in selling used textbooks to college bookstores, buying them back from students or college bookstores at the end of each college semester, and then reselling them to college bookstore. The Complementary Services segment includes book-related services, such as computer hardware and software systems, e-commerce technology and consulting services. Its services include textbook solutions, e-commerce solutions, rental solutions, consultative services, buyback management and store operations solutions.
