New Guinea Gold Corporation is a Canada-based junior exploration and mining company. The Companyâs exploration lease surrounds its Sinivit gold mine in East New Britain Province, PNG. The Companyâs main project is the Sinivit Gold project. The project is located 50 kilometers south-southwest of Rabaul in the Baining mountains of the Gazelle Peninsula, East New Britain Province, Papua New Guinea, which can be accessed by road from the town of Kokopo and port of Rabaul. The mine is a series of shallow open pits from which gold oxide ore is extracted. The mine covers the central 900 meters of the wild dog structure which is hosted within the regional scale Nengmutka vein system. The vein system has a strike length of approximately 10 kilometers and is covered by the Companyâs exploration lease EL 1140.
