Nichirei Corporation (TSE:2871) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 2,500,000 shares, representing 1.93% of its issued share capital, for ¥5,000 million. The purpose of the program is to enhance shareholder returns and improve capital efficiency.
The program will expire on February 28, 2023. As of September 30, 2022, the company had 129,519,306 shares(excluding treasury stock) in issue and shares 4,523,293 in treasury.
