Dai-Nippon Meiji Sugar Co., Ltd. agreed to acquire Kanmon Sugar Mfg.Co.,Ltd. from Nippon Beet Sugar Manufacturing Co.,Ltd. (TSE:2108) for approximately ¥780 million on January 15, 2021. net assets of ¥1,791 million, total assets of ¥5,491 million, sales of ¥2,916 million, EBIT of ¥90 million and net profit of ¥47 million as of March , 2021. The transaction is expected to close on September 30, 2021. The impact of the acquisition of the shares on the consolidated financial results of the Company for the fiscal year ending March 2022 is expected to be minor.
