On August 5, 2013, Owens-Illinois Inc. reported that its Board of Directors elected Hari N. Nair on August 2, 2013 to serve as a Director of the Company, but that it was unknown at that time on which committee(s) of the Board Mr. Nair would serve. On September 26, 2013, and effective as of such date, the Board of Directors of the company appointed Mr. Nair to serve on the Audit Committee and Compensation Committee.

It has a distribution facility in the United States used to import glass containers from its business in Mexico. It has approximately 69 plants in 19 countries.
