Optivision Technology, Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was TWD 170.84 million compared to TWD 272.01 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 111.88 million compared to TWD 56.14 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 2.11 compared to TWD 1.01 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was TWD 346.79 million compared to TWD 667.59 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 163.58 million compared to TWD 43.87 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 3.09 compared to TWD 0.79 a year ago.
Optivision Technology Inc. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacturing and sale of backlight units key components, such as brightness enhancement films (BEFs) and multiple function optical prism films. The Company's products are applied in backlight modules of thin film transistor-liquid crystal displays (TFT-LCDs), used for terminal products such as LCD televisions (TVs), notebooks, LCD monitors, cell phones, digital cameras, global positioning system (GPS) machines, digital photo frames, moving picture experts group layer-3 auto (MP3) displays and other consumer electronic products. The Company distributes its products within Taiwan and the rest of Asia.
