On 24 December 2012, the Company advised the details of the interest rate in respect of the Origin Energy Subordinated Notes for the interest period commencing on 24 December 2012 and ending on 21 March 2013.

The Ex-Date was quoted as 8 March 2013, however as 11 March 2013 is an ASX no settlement day, the Ex-Date is now 7 March 2013. The interest period is 88 days with interest payment per Note of $1.72.

Origin Energy Limited (Origin) advises that the Interest Rate in respect of the Origin Energy Subordinated Notes (Notes) for the Interest Period commencing on 24 December 2012 and ending on 21 March 2013 is 7.14% per annum.

The Interest Rate is calculated as the Bank Bill Rate on 24 December 2012 of 3.14% plus the Margin of 4.00%.

The Interest Payment will be made on 22 March 2013, unless it is optionally or mandatorily deferred in accordance with the terms of the Notes.
