A family has had a lucky escape when two trucks collided, and smashed into their house in a fiery crash on Christmas Eve. The two drivers were injured in the accident Schofields at 10.15pm last night. The two Pantech-type trucks collided on Heathland Avenue at the intersection of Antonia Parade. They crashed into the front of the two-storey house, with one truck catching fire. Locals put out the fire and helped one driver out, but the other had to be cut free by fire crews. Both suffered broken legs and were then airlifted to Westmead Hospital. Police say the family in the Heathland Avenue home was "shaken" but uninjured. The front of the brick house was damaged.
