Parmalat S.p.A. announced preliminary earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2016. For the year, the company reported net revenue totaled EUR 6,492.5 million, up 1.2% compared with EUR 6,416.1 million reported in 2015, while EBITDA grew to EUR 459.2 million, for an increase of 3.3% compared with EUR 444.5 million in the previous year, despite the negative effect caused by the massive devaluation of the Venezuelan currency versus the euro. The contribution provided by the Venezuelan subsidiary to net revenue and EBITDA were down by about EUR 490 million and about EUR 44 million, respectively, compared with the previous year.
