Peab has been commissioned to build 138 apartments in the project Trägården stage 2 in Askim in southern Gothenburg. The customer is Stena Fastigheter Göteborg AB and the contract is worth SEK 225 million.

Peab will soon begin construction in Askim in southern Gothenburg on the second stage of Trägården for Stena Fastigheter with 138 apartments, of which 52 will be rental apartments and the rest tenant-owned. The project has a distinct sustainable profile, for example the framework of the buildings will be a combination of concrete and glulam and the facades will be cladded in wood paneling. ECO-Betong will be used for in-situ casted concrete constructions and the buildings will be Swan certified.

"Being a part of developing Gothenburg together with Stena Fastigheter is important for us as local community builders. We particularly welcome building with such a distinct sustainable profile. Peab has both the capacity and experience to carry out these kinds of projects and we look forward to collaborating with Stena Fastigheter," says Liselott Bergkvist, Region Manager Peab.

Trägården is planned to keep energy consumption down, energy that will be generated from renewable sources such as solar panels. The buildings will also be heated by district heat from return heat from the neighboring Pilegården.

The project is a turnkey contract. Construction will begin in the summer of 2022 and the project is expected to be completed by the summer of 2024.

The project was order registered in the second quarter 2022.
