SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. (MD) on Tuesday reported a loss of $124.3 million in its fourth quarter.

The Sunrise, Florida-based company said it had a loss of $1.50 per share. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs and pretax expenses, were 32 cents per share.

The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 32 cents per share.

The physician group posted revenue of $496.4 million in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $521.9 million.

For the year, the company reported a loss of $60.4 million, or 73 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $1.99 billion.
