Petrofac's work to digitalise its operations and projects delivery was recognised by OGUK, the leading representative body for the offshore energy industry in the UK, at a virtual awards ceremony on 10 December.

A judging panel comprising industry experts acknowledged the results Petrofac's Connected Working approach and Petrolytics technology is driving, and the potential of both to help maximise value from, and extend the life of energy assets in an environmentally responsible way.

Nick Shorten, Managing Director of Petrofac's Engineering and Production Services (West) business, commented:

Two years ago, our digital journey started with a simple 'what if' We realised the need to challenge convention to be able to innovate, improve and stay ahead in an evolving industry. By combining our engineering and operating knowledge with data driven insights and technology, we're helping our clients generate efficiencies and lower operational costs.

The collective effort from our teams has helped create a range of applications that underpin our delivery today, driving greater asset uptime, enhanced productivity, improved visibility of the project and asset health, and transparency of reporting.

The award ceremony was streamed live on YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook. A total of 27 finalists, from more than 90 entrants, contended for the ten awards presented at the event.
