Transactions in a close period statement and compliance with the Model Code

In accordance with Listing Rule 15.5.1(4) Polar CapitalGlobal Financials Trust Plc('the Company') announces that it is satisfied that all inside information which the Directors and the Company may have in periods leading up to an announcement of results has previously been notified to a RIS and accordingly, the Company need not comply with the close period provisions of the Model Code in relation to the Company's ordinary and subscription shares during the period to the announcement of the results for the half year ended 31 May 2016.

The close period commenced on 1 June 2016 and will end with the expected publication of the half year results on 12 July 2016.
