STUTTGART (dpa-AFX) - Porsche AG employees will benefit from the sports and off-road vehicle manufacturer's improved business figures with a bonus of up to 9690 euros. The bonus for 2023 is thus higher than in the previous year, as a spokeswoman announced in Stuttgart on Wednesday. The money will be paid out with the April salary. All employees at German locations who are permanently employed by Porsche AG and its subsidiaries will receive the payment. This also includes Porsche Leipzig GmbH. In total, this involves more than 28,000 employees.

The amount of the voluntary special payment follows a certain logic and, according to the information provided, takes into account the key figures of the past two financial years. For the 2022 financial year, Porsche employees received up to 9050 euros gross. A year earlier, it was a maximum of 7900 euros.

The VW subsidiary Porsche presented its business figures for the past year on Tuesday. Despite further supply chain disruptions, strong inflation and high investments, the sports car manufacturer generated higher sales and profits. The amount of the annual special payment is traditionally generous at the Stuttgart-based company. By comparison, employees at the parent company Volkswagen receive a bonus of 4735 euros for the past year.

"Our employees can be very proud of our result," said Andreas Haffner, Member of the Executive Board for Human Resources at Porsche. The special payment has been in place at Porsche since 1997. In connection with the bonus, the Executive Board and Works Council called for donations./jwe/DP/men
