Proxim Wireless Corporation announced that it is introducing Tsunami(r) QB-835 products designed for outdoor enterprise, carrier, and municipal networks. Following the introduction of Proxim's MP-835 low-cost but fully-featured point-to-multipoint subscriber unit, the QB-835 is the next in a line of medium capacity, robust communications products. As a member of the Proxim 800 Tsunami series, the QB-835 has all the key features customers have come to rely on from Proxim such as a small compact IP67 enclosure, carrier class reliability, and ease of installation with an integrated antenna.

In addition, the QB-835 is powered by WORP, Proxim's industry leading outdoor wireless protocol delivering QoS and efficiencies well above competing products. Operating in the 5GHz band, the QB-835 overcomes harsh radio environments with Proxim's ClearConnect(TM) technology. ClearConnect is a suite of over 13 different techniques all working together to enable robust and reliable radio communications in interference-heavy deployments.

Additionally, for easier and effortless management, QB-835 is supported by ProximVision(TM) Advanced, an advanced Cloud Based Carrier Management System which gives network engineers unparalleled flexibility, control, and supervision. Some of the many benefits include rapid network deployment, granular configuration capabilities, and fault management. Each endpoint has a single 100 BaseT interface and is powered via PoE, reducing parts and complexity for those deployments that are just looking for basic connectivity.

With an operating temperature range of -30C to 50C, the QB-835 can operate in all but the most severe environments. Ideal for enterprise network extensions or small cell backhaul, the QB-835 can be purchased at an initial capacity of 25Mbps, and when business warrants, upgraded via software to 50Mbps.
