PT Astra International Tbk and PT Aplikasi Karya Anak Bangsa (GO-JEK) have announced an agreement to establish a joint venture (JV) to encourage the development of a four-wheeled ride hailing business that is expected to help increase the availability of online transportation services door to door for the community. Go-Jek specializes in ride-hailing, logistics, and digital payments. Astra International is an Indonesian conglomerate engaged in automotive, financial services, heavy equipment, mining and energy, agribusiness, infrastructure & logistics, information technology, and property businesses.

Concurrently, Astra has also announced its participation in the first phase of GO-JEK F Series funding with an investment of USD 100 million. With the additional investment, Astra's total investment in GO-JEK has now reached USD 250 million. The joint venture agreed to be formed by Astra and GOJEK is planned to provide thousands of fleet units with vehicle operational management systems supported by Astra FMS (Fleet Management System) and hailing ride technology on GOJEK applications, specifically GO-CAR services.
