Rackspace Technology Launches Rackspace Services for VMware Cloud, a Groundbreaking Multi-tenant Solution on VMware

New multi-tenant solution adds unique value to VMware's Cloud Director technology to deliver a best-in-class VMware environment.

SAN ANTONIO - May XX, 2021 -Rackspace Technology™ (NASDAQ: RXT), a leading end-to-end multicloud technology solutions company, today announced the launch of its next-generation VMware-based cloud offering, Rackspace Services for VMware Cloud™. The new offering will be available in Rackspace Technology data centers as a multi-tenant solution and will provide customers with many of the benefits of public cloud, but in a VMware environment, enabling the move of VMware workloads to an agile and scalable cloud model.

Rackspace Services for VMware Cloud has been engineered from the ground up leveraging VMware Cloud Director (vCD) on the Dell Technologies Cloud Platform and provides customers with a new level of self-service and automation to control their environment as they need, to rapidly provision and scale resources based on demand, and a choice of flexible consumption models. Additionally, features that open up unique capabilities include BYO network devices, the ability to blend custom dedicated and more cloudy multi-tenant VMware environments and Infrastructure-as-Code/CICD for infrastructure outside the cloud.

Rackspace will also be offering Elastic Engineering for Rackspace Services for VMware Cloud giving customers the ultimate fanatical experience for support.
